Sir Dominic Asquith - UK Diplomat and Ambassador

 

Sir Dominic Asquith is a British diplomat and former Ambassador. He has served as the UK Ambassador to Iraq, Egypt and Libya. In 2016 he was appointed as the UK’s High Commissioner to India, serving until 2020.

In 2004, Sir Dominic was appointed a Companion of the order of St Michael and St George and Knighted as a Knight Commander of the Order of St Michael and St George in the 2012 New Years Honours. 

He currently works in the private sector, advising businesses active in the Middle East and India.

Prior to his diplomatic career, Dominic worked as a journalist, educator and researcher in the Middle East, including in Lebanon, Jordan and the West Bank.
